Welcome to the ‘how to avoid failure’ series! A whole series of posts on how to avoid failure… sounds funny I know but it’s really not. Let’s be honest failure is the one thing that can really hold us back, stop us from reaching our potential and keep us waiting until we feel ‘ready’. One of the tricks to this is to actually completely readjust our thinking, it’s not so much about how we avoid failure but more so to do with how we view failure!
To avoid failure we need to rethink it, reassess what it means to us and find ways to stop being afraid of it! Here are some of the questions we are going to explore over the next few weeks:
- What IS failure & is it really all that scary?
- Who decides what failure looks like?
- How can we re-define it?
- Instead of trying to avoid failure can we learn to accept it?
- outlining some new language and strategies to help us rethink the idea of failure.
One of the best things about this ‘how to avoid failure’ series is that it will be relevant to ANYONE! It doesn’t matter who you are or what you do we all come across that moment when ‘failure’ feels like our evil nemesis hiding around the corner holding up a caving knife while dressed in a ‘Scream’ costume… (too much?)
Join me over the next few weeks as we do more than just learn to avoid failure but actually work out ways to debunk the concept of completely. It may seem like a huge ask, you’re probably thinking “it’s not possible”, but trust me I know it can be done, you just need to keep an open mind to new ideas!
